Hi all, Yesterday I managed to pick up a German made Summicron 50mm f2 for what felt like a good price. I’m very new to LEICA lenses, apologies if anything I’m asking is a little obvious (one of those guys using them on Sony A7s!). I’ve been shooting with a Elamrit 28mm which I love and I’ve been looking to add a 50mm to the lineup. I assume it’s a type 3, even though the serial number suggests 1966 - 2175083 but it has 6 blades. Frankly for the price (450 Australian Dollars) it still seemed good value, I took some test shots and everything feels smooth and solid. The only thing I notice now is that the aperture ring is at the back of the lens, and the focus ring at the front, whereas every picture I’ve seen of the lens seems to be the other way round? What do you guys think? Despite not coming with a lens cover it did come with a ‘Serie V1’ UVa with a 14160 holder, if anybody has any info on that? I’ll try and post some photos. Many thanks Ian
