One of the Seven Sisters as the North-Eastern states of India are collectively called, Arunachal Pradesh is the northeastern-most state in India. It's predominantly tribal population is of Tibetan and Burmese (now Myanmar) origin. The mountainous state shares borders with Bhutan, Myanmar and China.

On the road to Tawang, after a night stopover at Dirang, the road winds it's way up to Se La (La is Tibetan for pass) at 13,700 ft. Se La is just a bit further, just a chai break before driving on to Tawang.
Se La, 13,700 ft. I don't know it yet, but the first night I'll spend at Tawang (a mere 10,000 ft) will be uncomfortable.
