Hi I’m a newbie looking for some help with my M240. I just recently purchased a 28mm 2.8 (pre-ashp not coded) and have been shooting with it for a couple of weeks. Yesterday I went to use to my 50mm 1.4 (pre-ashp 6 bit coded) and the framlines are stuck on 28mm/90mm. 50mm/75mm are not being displayed. I’ve shut it down recharged the battery, reset the setting, updated the firmware to 2.0.1.7 and changed out both lens about a dozen times, powering off every time. Any other suggestion?

Bought a new Summicron 35/2 for my M10 last week. After a day of shooting I recognised that it switched NOT to 'Auto lens detection'. Instead it switched to the last Manual M setting. And I can't set it to Auto lens detection in the menu. It shows the correct frame lines for 35mm in the viewfinder. Went back to the Leica store. They wanted to change the lens and ... the new lens had the same problem. They mounted my lens on their Store M 10 and Auto lens detection worked. Have another Summilux 50mm and a Elmarit 28mm all coded and it works perfect. Any experience with this problem someone, please? Hans

I hope that someone who has experienced this problem, or a similar one, will read this and offer advice. I am using the M10 along with the Adobe subscription software. Therefore I expect to have always up-to-date software – and bugs being removed in short order. Here is the short version. I use the Leica Summarit-M 35mm f/2.4 ASPH as my go to lens on the M10. When I mount the lens on the camera and hit the info button, the info display correctly shows 2.4 / 35 mm. When I import the raw file to lightroom classic on the pc, then the metadata in the “library” section correctly identifies the lens: LEICA Summarit-M 1:2.4/35 ASPH. But when I open “lens corrections” of the “develop” section the lens is not recognized. Actually there is an error message: “unable to locate a matching profile automatically”. I can of course activate the lens profile manually from the lightroom table: “Leica SUMMARIT-M 35 mm f/2.4 ASPH.” But I expect the system to do so automatically. All this did work for this lens up to September of last year. Then it stopped working. It still works for other lenses. Hoping for help from the learned forum.

My new Leica M11 P is detecting my older 1:2.8 21MM lens as a 1:1.8 90MM lens. 1) will this impact photos? 2) why is this occurring? 3) will shutting off lens detection fix the problem? 4) is this due to it being a older lens?
