markpsf Posted March 16, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 16, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not listed on the new firmware SD Card compatibility info list. But is there any reason this won't work? Mine seems to work fine. Will it melt or explode? It is ticking and there is a message in Japanese that keeps coming up on my screen that is apparently something about Germany and the last war but should I be concerned about that? robert-gregory Posted March 17, 2010 Share #8 Posted March 17, 2010 Same card bought new with the M9 and has worked fine - knock on wood. The only reason I can think its not listed is that it was not 'officially' tested.
glenerrolrd Posted March 17, 2010 Share #9 Posted March 17, 2010 Not specific to the 16gb version(which appears to be just not tested).....an issue with the M9 s 1.0002 firmware was that using faster(and more expensive cards) did not result in faster transfer rates. In fact some tests have shown that the ultra card is as fast as the extreme version (at 1/2 the cost). It was anticipated that the new firmware would take advantage of the SanDisk Extreme cards 30MP speed....for those that have the card does it seem substantially faster? menos I M6 Posted March 18, 2010 Share #10 Posted March 18, 2010 Love this card in the M8.2! A nice switch of need in card shuffling after shooting with slow 2GB cards in an EPSON R-D1!
