scaryink Posted August 29, 2009 Share #4 Posted August 29, 2009 I just cant wait for the new artist and artisan and billangham (or whatever) bags to compliment that new consumer item.
lars_bergquist Posted August 29, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 29, 2009 I told Luigi that I would order a half-case for my new M9, and he wrote that he would gladly deliver. The camera is on pre-order. The old man from the Age of Vacuum Tubes
Steve Ash Posted August 29, 2009 Share #6 Posted August 29, 2009 I still would like to have a nice Luigi half case for my M7 but the design of his web page drives my crazy. Regards Steve
jonoslack Posted August 29, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 29, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) HI Steve I agree - I'd love two or three wrist straps, but I always lose the will to live before I manage to order! Not that I don't enjoy it, it's just that practically speaking it seems impossible.
guy Posted August 29, 2009 Share #8 Posted August 29, 2009 It's a little gothic, I agree, but I think that's the "artisan quality" showing through. I get the feeling he did the whole thing himself, and to some extent, that's part of the fun Don't let it put you off the cases. They're very good indeed, and as well as looking good and protecting the camera, they go a very long way to helping it look old-fashioned and "harmless", if that's what you're after. (I was.) I totally agree; ordering is really painless- just send Luigi an email and tell him exactly what you want. Whether you see it on his site or if it's a bit of a custom job he will send you an almost immediate email telling you how much to send him and it's on your doorstep a lot quicker than you think it would take to make it and ship it- here to the States, anyway. And I promise you will not be disappointed with the quality.
jonoslack Posted August 29, 2009 Share #10 Posted August 29, 2009 Okay Chaps - thanks for the help I just sent an email . .. and got a sensible (and charming) reply in 10 minutes. Now I might even buy! I hadn't realised you had to do it by email rather than basket - much more to my taste anyway. hooray!

Luigi is a very kind person and will answer you very soon. The mail is on his web site. Ops, you did it before I could tell you...
jevidon Posted September 1, 2009 Share #12 Posted September 1, 2009 A new case for the M9? That's a little like buying a suit for Bigfoot in case he shows up. Worry about it if it happens (which I doubt). Look for a new M8.3 with upgrades.
novice9 Posted October 22, 2009 Share #13 Posted October 22, 2009 Can anyone please supply luigi's email? whenever i click on the "contact" or "email" on his website, my mac tries to launch mail (which i don't use) and i can never actually see the email address. many thanks, tony. Guest mc_k Posted October 22, 2009 Share #14 Posted October 22, 2009 You can probably contact him through Ebay, store name "umana."
lars_bergquist Posted October 22, 2009 Share #15 Posted October 22, 2009 The M9 will not require a different case than the M8, as it turns out. All the dimensions are the same, all the buttons are in the same places, the two cameras do even share the same baseplate. Relax. Indecisive Posted October 22, 2009 Share #16 Posted October 22, 2009 I found the order experience not bad at all. 1. I saw the photo of the case I wanted and the bits I wanted. 2. I emailed him for a price 3. He responded with individual prices 4. I paid with Paypal 5. Emailed him after payment 6. He emailed back when he despatched the item 7. Got item in 2 days (posted Friday, arrived Tuesday morning) I love the case, and glad I got it. His email is webmaster@leicatime.com
