spylaw4 Posted May 25, 2008 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2008 Agreed and with lovely tonality!
Guest suilvenman Posted May 25, 2008 Share #4 Posted May 25, 2008 I agree about "timeless" quality of this image - it might have been taken 40 years ago or yesterday. I remember you had an image of a DS in Paris which had a similar feel to it. Excellent shot. Which film stock, James? Cheers, Ken.
biglouis Posted May 25, 2008 Share #5 Posted May 25, 2008 Nicely framed and spotted, James. The Colleseum(?) and a Fiat 500 - the ancient meets the modern, I like it. LouisB

IMast Posted May 25, 2008 Share #10 Posted May 25, 2008 A great alternative view and a 500 as well. I hate to admit but I went to Rome in 1960 for the Olympics on a school trip. Apart from the architecture of the Coloseum and the Forum I recall hundreds of wild cats roaming around the former. Not old enough to remember the lions! earleygallery Posted May 25, 2008 Author Share #12 Posted May 25, 2008 Thank you for all the kind comments. This was a shot I felt pleased about as I took it, for the subject matter, but the time of day wasn't perfect (just after lunchtime), fortunately the contrast between light and shade just about works. A blue or red Fiat would have been better, but I couldn't control that either! Film was Konica Minolta 200 neg, converted to B&W in PS.
Saloti Posted May 25, 2008 Share #13 Posted May 25, 2008 This photo should go into a Fiat ad campaign, it is perfect!
