I agree about "timeless" quality of this image - it might have been taken 40 years ago or yesterday. I remember you had an image of a DS in Paris which had a similar feel to it.

Excellent shot.

 

Which film stock, James?

A great alternative view and a 500 as well. I hate to admit but I went to Rome in 1960 for the Olympics on a school trip. Apart from the architecture of the Coloseum and the Forum I recall hundreds of wild cats roaming around the former. Not old enough to remember the lions!

Thank you for all the kind comments. This was a shot I felt pleased about as I took it, for the subject matter, but the time of day wasn't perfect (just after lunchtime), fortunately the contrast between light and shade just about works. A blue or red Fiat would have been better, but I couldn't control that either!

 

Film was Konica Minolta 200 neg, converted to B&W in PS.
