luigi bertolotti Posted December 28, 2007 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2007 Very very fine, Andy : the mix of colors, subject, framing, detail makes this a super picture ... how was it shoot (camera, lens...) ? I think that with the right processing a superb large print can be made... the sense of immensity it gives deserves at least a 60 cm wide print. samwells Posted December 28, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 28, 2007 Andy - Lovely muted colours and great viewpoint...and I like the way the seawall looks so soft and corrugated, like an avant-garde sofa by the Memphis group. cheers: Sam
andybarton Posted December 28, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks Luigi. This was with the DMR and a first generation 19mm. It's been cropped to get to this panoramic view. It was taken, hand held, at 1/30th and f5.6 at ISO

echorec Posted December 28, 2007 Share #12 Posted December 28, 2007 Lovely composition & colours. BTW, would your recommend the first 19mm for a 5D? The new version won´t fit.
stuny Posted December 28, 2007 Share #13 Posted December 28, 2007 Andy - You may recall how much Barbara likes lighthouses and your photos of them, so I saved this to show her as soon as she finishes working out.. Lovely, and a completely different approach for your lighthouses -- Very effective leading us into it with the breakwater.
