Iduna Posted April 8, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2014 great in B&W showing a dramatic coastal situation and a few rocks looking like seal. rRugged and rough trip one could say.
pauledell Posted April 8, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 8, 2014 An excellent series with great b&w shots. All have fine composition, tones and sharpness. I like the first and last ones the most (no particular reason). Paul
platypus Posted April 8, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 8, 2014 That ocean resembles a washing machine in overdrive, you have more courage than me! I would also have been very concerned about the health and wellbeing of the MM in such exceptionally damp circumstances, but you got away with it and the results are worth the risk. MarkP Posted April 9, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted April 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) That ocean resembles a washing machine in overdrive, you have more courage than me!I would also have been very concerned about the health and wellbeing of the MM in such exceptionally damp circumstances, but you got away with it and the results are worth the risk. I had the camera in a waterproof stuffsack whilst the strap was over my neck and the camera in the sack protected under my Gore-Tex jacket. Then I just pulled the camera out whenever I wanted to shoot whilst carefully assessing the waves and any possible spray. There were no major problems. That evening I just gave the cameras & lenses a very careful wipe down with a damp lint-free cloth.

I arranged for the seat at the back of the craft as well. Three cameras were drenched and destroyed up front by a water spout!
Berth Posted April 13, 2014 Share #11 Posted April 13, 2014 Saltwater is unkind to electronics, I'd be nervous as hell in rough water in a small boat. Love the set, and the last picture especially.
