Thanks all,

this was taken on a 'boat cruise' along the island's coastline. I use the expression 'boat cruise' loosely. Spectacular scenery via an overgrown Zodiac which had a rear area with seats behind a perspex screen so I could use the cameras with less risk of being drenched by salt spray. It was very rough at times so cruise was a nice word for it - quite a few passengers were feeding the fish their regurgitated breakfast!

Will post some more soon.

Well I think that the last time I shot Tasmanian scenery was three M cameras ago and on film ;-) Although I got to Yosemite with my M8.

Bruny Island, Tasmania photo - Geoff Hopkinson photos at pbase.com

I do remember fondly the rigid inflatables coastline adventure though. A wild and beautiful place.

I seem to be in a studio a lot these days shooting different subjects ;-)

Very nice photo of that spit separating the north from south parts of the island. Why don't you post it here?

Nothing there has changed there with that road you can just see on the right hand side of the spit protected from the Southern Ocean. The 'cruise' starts off from near the mountains in the distance on the right hand side of your photo.

Will post more tonight.

I went to Yosemite when I was a student in the Spetember of 1985 with my F3/T, some Nikkor AI-S primes, and a tripod.

Last year I found about a dozen rolls of glorious negatives of 32 ASA Panatomic-X which I'd shot there but had subsequently forgotten about never been printed!

Once I get the time I'll scan and print them but obviously can't show them here.

I couldn't afford a Leica at the time.
