tmldds Posted March 29, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted March 29, 2011 Another very nice series, Mark. I like your point of view in many shots. Â Tri:)

Pintpot Posted March 29, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted March 29, 2011 Great! We had rain when we were there, and all my shots were with my old bessa - so can't post here. Brings back thoughts of a happy day wandering around the canals, thanks:)
stuny Posted March 29, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted March 29, 2011 Mark - Â Another lovely set.
pauledell Posted March 30, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted March 30, 2011 Mark, Â A fine series. (1) I am ambivalent about this one (2) Great colors and details (3) An exciting shot at night with the lighting, depth, composition and mood. (4) A mysterious and foreboding picture. I'm not sure what to expect ahead. (5) An excellent shot with great composition, tones and clarity. (6) A great shot if the view-point was raised just a tad. Some interesting things too close to the top of the picture. Â Paul

bouic49 Posted April 3, 2011 Share #8 Â Posted April 3, 2011 I like image 3 the best. Â Dave
Guest Paul Jenkin Posted April 9, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted April 9, 2011 For me, the 2nd and 3rd shots are the strongest - both compositionally and in terms of interest. That said, I do like all of them.
Guest Benqui Posted April 10, 2011 Share #10 Â Posted April 10, 2011 Beautiful series. I like no 4 with the light on the left side. Very well seen!
kdemas Posted April 23, 2011 Share #11 Â Posted April 23, 2011 Absolutely love the 3rd shot. Well done!

MarkP Posted April 23, 2011 Author Share #13  Posted April 23, 2011 Thanks to all of you for all your comments.  Paul, I'd always planned to crop #6 to concentrate on the pavement, people, and pigeons. Unfortunately, the area above was cluttered with the scaffolding and screen, and to distract from the area of interest...  Mark
ped Posted April 23, 2011 Share #14 Â Posted April 23, 2011 Lovely, I really like #2, but would prefer it if the window in shot was on the same level as you, to balance the composition a little. Beautiful colours, though - those buildings have so much character.
MarkP Posted April 23, 2011 Author Share #15 Â Posted April 23, 2011 Ped, Â completely agree with you. Â it was a difficult image to frame as there were a number of compromising factors including: difficulty getting an ideal vantage point without ending up in a canal, and difficulty with the family who were impatient to keep moving in the cold January weather! The other images were not as good. Â Mark

I would probably do the same as you did.  Paul
daveleo Posted April 23, 2011 Share #17 Â Posted April 23, 2011 Mark Like them all except #1 Â esp intigued by #4, and I would play with that image some to see where it would take me.
