Having thought about this, I wondered what equipment that Leica could come up with, beyond what I have already, which would genuinely improve my photography and the versatility of my M equipment. Unless I want to radically change the way I use my M (which I don't - I have a dSLR system and can use R lenses if I want) then the answer is that I remain the limiting factor in terms of both my 'seeing' images and my imagination.

Of course a 28mm f/1.4 would be nice, greater dynamic range would help, more MPixels I'm not so sure about, LiveView changes usage, and so on. But in all honesty the M9 and existing lenses deliver superb images. I need to concentrate more on the photographer......

An acceptable third party digital solution for R users, full frame, and with some sort of focus confirmation. (All pigs fuelled up and ready to fly.)

The Hasselblad H to S adapter proves that Leica can do it... ;)

Here's my guess, I got lucky last time and got three out of three

1. M10

2. 35 Summicron APO

3. Holding off on this for the moment

The 3rd one is easy...it will be made from hens teeth and an exotic material mined from the moon but only when there is an unusually large solar flare and which will require mere mortals to sell at least a kidney and other organs (not sure that is possible)....and with a project name of 'The Kings Clothes' :)

1. Louis Vuitton edition M9 with ivory knobs.

2. Gold plated Arab edition M9 with purple velvet half case.

3. Flip out polarizer with diamond encrusted rings made by Tiffany.

An M9 S/BP

That is, an M9 signed by Seal and Brad Pitt.

The camera is delivered to you by Seal, Brad and Ann Curry, and they then cook you a meal and then put you sleep.

Best,

Mark

1. Speculation will be rife and increasingly fantastical. Endless threads will be started on almost the same subject

2. Stuff will be released. It will be beautifully made and pricey

3. Some people will be disappointed and demand apologies

4. Insecure early adopters will place orders first and rationalise later

Regards,

Bill
