Wonka Posted October 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hopefully this won't be seen as a ridiculous request, but I have a request that some of you may also have as well. As I am still waiting for my steel grey M9 to arrive, I was wondering if those of you lucky enough to already have your M9's (any color) wouldn't mind posting some pictures of your new camera with various lenses attached (Leica lenses primarily). I really enjoy seeing real world pictures of the M9 with different lenses, however, there really aren't that many out there that I can find. Plus, I don't have any camera shops near me that sell Leica stuff. The boring stock photo that we all see 99% of the time is the M9 with the 50 lux attached. Don't get me wrong, real world photos of the M9 with the 50 lux attached look great, I'm just tired of seeing the stock image! Thanks in advance. Leicaiste Posted October 19, 2009 Share #12 Posted October 19, 2009 Shot from this angle, the M9 looks awfully assymetrical, as if the left edge has been sawn off. Leica should have retained the M8 rounded top-left edge. On the M9, the flat part of the top cover is again the same size as on all the M since the M3 (save the M5). The M8 seems a little bit strange next to them, including the M9. I like the M9 top cover very much and it is one of the reason I don't miss the little window for battery check. And btw, it fits very well with Luigi's half case. Lucien

michali Posted October 20, 2009 Share #20 Posted October 20, 2009 What the heck is that big rig connected to your M9? That thing looks awesome! It's a Visoflex III mount with a 200mm Telyt lens attached. The Visoflex system was developed by Leica in the late 1930's to enable one to use the M as a reflex camera, with a whole range of dedicated lenses and adaptors. Click the link below for a description of the Visoflex system. Visoflex I Pleased you found the images helpful.
