Pecole Posted April 29, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 29, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) When Rolf Fricke asked to visit the Fontenelle Collection in early, 1982, I was indeed too happy to agree. Rolf, a founding father of the famous LHSA - Leica Historical Society of America and a Brazilian citizen of German origin, was close to the Leitz family. He had once more visited Wetzlar, and was on his way back home. I had selected some significant pieces in my drawers, and managed a special display for him in our living room. I know I already quoted this visit and published two colour photos here in February last (Fontenelle Archives 52), but I just came across e set of black and white negatives and thought it could interest ... and puzzle some Leica pals in trying to identify the items on show. Further, on the occasion of his visit, Rolf offered me the opportunity to take pixes of two rare Chinese copies he had just acquired. I illustrate same in the following "archives".
