Fontenelle archives 68 : At display for Rolf Fricke...29 years ago

When Rolf Fricke asked to visit the Fontenelle Collection in early, 1982, I was indeed too happy to agree. Rolf, a founding father of the famous LHSA - Leica Historical Society of America and a Brazilian citizen of German origin, was close to the Leitz family. He had once more visited Wetzlar, and was on his way back home.

I had selected some significant pieces in my drawers, and managed a special display for him in our living room. I know I already quoted this visit and published two colour photos here in February last (Fontenelle Archives 52), but I just came across e set of black and white negatives and thought it could interest ... and puzzle some Leica pals in trying to identify the items on show.

Further, on the occasion of his visit, Rolf offered me the opportunity to take pixes of two rare Chinese copies he had just acquired. I illustrate same in the following "archives".

???????? You mean a TZOON ?

Yes, the TZOON ... I have the 200 / 400 VFs (SFTOO / SQTOO) but remember that someone posted a pic of a SxTOO with a 280 mask... looking at the above 280 with TZOON, I think it was surely posted by Pecole...

(btw... no success with COMA, yesterday... 5 trials, always telephone occupied... hard as always... will try again Monday...:o)

I like that Telyt 280 type I with direct attachment tube and... (280 viewfinder based on 200-400 ?... I seem to remember you quoted it time ago...)

Yes, I did. Here is the pix again. The 280 mask was provided gratis by Leitz (at that time...) on request.
