andym911 Posted April 25, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Enjoyed today with an old lens on the M8. Shot around f4 and lovely detail in my opinion, smooth and small, light and excellent resolution.A pleasure to use for relatively small money. Here a shot and a crop. Any others using this little darling? best andy Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Michael Hiles Posted April 26, 2011 Share #5 Posted April 26, 2011 I have one - and I am a very happy owner. It is not for very low light hand held situations. And it is not "modern" sharp at f3.5, but by f4 - f5.6, it is excellent. It has a lovely "character and personality".
lars_bergquist Posted April 27, 2011 Share #6 Posted April 27, 2011 Most "classical" Leica lenses had resolution superior to the films of that time. It takes a digital sensor to bring out what's really in them. And that can be a fascinating exercise. samiba Posted May 5, 2011 Share #10 Posted May 5, 2011 I also use it Andy now and then with an adaptor on my M6 and I am quite impressed of the capabilities, although it is slightly fogged. My first shots ever taken with it (nothing special) are here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/members/28948-albums2953-picture1772.html also a good performer in light and shade situation http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/members/28948-albums2953-picture1774.html Regards, Michael
