dpattinson Posted March 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I wanted to link to the post that Darrius Thompson made in the photo forum. He has interviewed Emmanuel Smague along with several other Leica photographers. Emmanuel Smague is one of the photographers I follow on flickr. I think his work represents some of the best contemporary Leica M photography that I've seen. I would strongly recommend reading the interview, visiting his website and flickr page - and if you are based in Europe, checking his exhibitions when they are on. (posted in the film forum b/c he uses an M7, if there is a better place please move admin).
Advertisement Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Hi dpattinson, Take a look here Leica photographer - Emmanuel Smague. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Morten Grathe Posted March 27, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2009 I agree - his work is fantastic. Looks like most of it is done with a 35mm summicron. No excuse not to take goog photos without a noctilux ;-)
alun Posted March 27, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2009 Exceptional photography, thanks, and a new name -- at least to me. I shall look again and often.
thomasw_ Posted March 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 27, 2009 I am so pleased that Emmanuel is being recognized for his photography! I have been a friend of his for quite a while, so it is very satisfying to have others admire what I have admired. At the very least, I know now that my aesthetic judgment is alright ;P
