Default Viewfinder for 35mm

I went to Steven Gandy's site to see about a 35mm viewfinder but he doesn't list one. Anyone know where I could get one? I plan on using it on my M3.
Thanks for all replies.

Try to find an original Leitz SBLOO, the best external viewfinder ever made IMHO.

Thanks, Gunnar. And where in the world would I find one?

I bought a Heliar finder but am not thrilled with it. It seems off.

As Gunnar said, the old SBLOO is definitely the best: a little bulky, but a fantastic seeing through... not difficult to find one... here are two that are currently available at

Those viewfinder SBLOO are pretty good, but pretty expensive too.
Near you, in LA, Kevin Lee Kevin's Cameras :: Finder have quite a few. The best ones are very, very expensive, especially the boxes.
In Europe, the best place could be Leicashop in Vienna/Austria https://www.leicashop.com
but not quite cheap either.

The Leica one is great, jut got one for my M3. I also have a VC metal 28mm finder that I use. Cameraquest does sell 35mm metal finders for $145 and the combo 28/35 mini finder for $169. A while back I emailed Stephen Gandy asking which was better for people wearing glasses and he wrote me back the metal one gives better eye relief. Voigtlander Bessa RF Accessories

Thanks, Carl. I've ordered one from Steven. Not sure why I couldn't find it on his site, though! Looking forward to shooting some Velvia with my 35 Cron ASPH.

You're welcome. Don't feel bad about not finding stuff on cameraquest.com. The site has its own little 'challenges'.
