Hmmm - wonder which M mount it is. Will it pair with the 18 Elmar (24/35/135 mount) or the Tri-Elmar (21/28/90). That would affect ease of coding for M8 use.

Filter thread 52mm?

Steve Gandy has no info - yet. Someone at Voigtlander/Germany must have jumped the gun. (Steve does have an interesting listing for a new Nikon F mount 20 f/3.5 Voigtlander lens - very compact! - chipped for full meter operation).

Cosina seems to be feeling their oats and pushing ahead - while trying not to step on the toes of the lenses they contract for Zeiss.

Just what I need, three sets of framelines!

I'm trying to decide if the two sets in the new Leica 21mm finder are worth it but I doubt that three will work.-Dick

If you look at the picture you ´ll see 3 scales : one parallax adjustment, one cop factor, one focal length 15-35mm. I doubt that there will be 3 framelines.

Steve Gandy has been taking $100 refundable deposits for the new 15 mm F4.5 for a week with delivery in late April. The only thing he doesn't have now is the final price.

Nobody knows is :) . As mentioned above the zoom finder is still a prototype.

Delivery in April is a very ambitious aim ;)

TomA posted some Infos about in RFF:

am just back from Japan and I had a chance to play with the 21-35 finder. As with all CV finders, it is incredible bright - virtually no light loss looking through it! It is a zoom finder so you dont have the "surround" of a frame line finder. It zooms in to the focal length and shows the image against a black background instead.

It has three different scales on it. The primary one, a chrome ring" shows the focal length for 24x36mm, the second scale (cut out and white numbers against a black back ground) shows a 1,3 size (M8) and the third scale shows the 1.5 magnification of a RD -1. Sound cluttered but actually worked nicely.

Some distortion at extreme wide setting (15/18 mm) but not worse than on a dedicated finder. The foot has a screw down lock on it so that it is held down securely.

......

It is metal - not plastic. feels very solid with a smooth action to the frame selector. The one I was was a prototype so it did not have the rubber surround for the eyepiece yet.

...

The only thing he doesn't have now is the final price.

a Leica 21-28 Zoom finder is about 400€ - I believe the Voigtländer 15-35 will be also in this price region.
