And a *shame* it's priced this way as this is a really good book. Guess if I sold mine I could make $160! Later! Will I had a first edition that I bought at a camera show along with another book that I thought was going to be the collectible. Well it turned out that Osterloh's book was the valuable one so I sold it. When the 2nd edition came out, the price of all editions fell and I was glad that I had sold mine. I should have realized that the 2nd edition wouldn't stay in print and ordered a few copies of it. Instead, I now have no copies of the book. I just hope that they will come out with a 3rd edition so I can stock up. Chad
jaapv Posted February 23, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 23, 2009 Try this one: The got the title wrong but the price right: 80$ Amazon.com: Leica M: The Advanced School of Photography: Gunter Osterloh: Books
wstotler Posted December 30, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Serious hike in price since last looking at this thread: $626 new $585 used Amazon.com: Leica M: Advanced Photo School (A Lark Photography Book) (9781579906375): Gunter Osterloh: Books Could sell my "good condition" copy for $540, undercut the market, and make $500. Try this one: The got the title wrong but the price right: 80$ Amazon.com: Leica M: The Advanced School of Photography: Gunter Osterloh: Books I'll be competing with Jaapv's previously $80 version. Or, MAYBE if I hold onto it long enough I can trade the book for a Noctilux. Thanks, Will Edited December 30, 2009 by wstotler
Sandokan Posted December 30, 2009 Share #5 Posted December 30, 2009 I have a second edition but signed. How much would someone else called "ravi" pay for it I wonder?
tobey bilek Posted January 1, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 1, 2010 Unlike the digi cameras, you don`t need a book to learn how to use a Leica. My Nikon D700 has a 300 page book, no pictures. I have the first edition and the pages are falling out like hair from a person getting chemo. Last I bought or will ever buy.
Guest AgXlove Posted January 1, 2010 Share #7 Posted January 1, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a second edition and was floored by the prices this book is going for. If there is that much demand, I can't see why the publisher doesn't release a new edition...
