johnastovall Posted January 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Any issues regarding mirror clearance? How is it's manual focus on the 5D? For use on the 5D any reason to prefer the earlier over the 2-cam give both in the same condition?
Advertisement Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Hi johnastovall, Take a look here Leica R 180 3.4 APO-telyt-R on Canon 5D?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
nbgronlie Posted January 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2009 I used the more recent E60 model of this lens on my 5D with no mirror issues whatsoever. I'd expect the earlier versions to be the same. No problems focusing in bright light using the Ee-S Canon screen. Viewfinder will be a little dim in lower light levels. My main issue with this lens was close focus distance. Regards, Neal
lct Posted January 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2009 No problem with the 3-cam E60 either. Manual focussing works fine with Brightscreen p232 focus screen and AF confirm adapter. I have no experience with earlier versions of the lens though.
