biglouis Posted September 27, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 27, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've now discovered in my pictures a thin, possibly single line of dead or non responsive pixels in my pictures which goes from the top of my sensor to the bottom. Is this usual for a M8 or do I have a problem which requires fixing back at base? Incidentally, this issue goes back to at least June of this year and for all I know even longer. It only came to light on an intense black area I was working on at 100%. It was near invisible otherwise and totally invisible in printing. Advertisement Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Hi biglouis, Take a look here Thin dead line. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest WPalank Posted September 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 28, 2009 Sorry Louis, I think it is back to the mothership for your camera. In LR, if you push the fill light and play with the black point (Blacks slider), I think you might find it in earlier images.

LouisB Louis, You mean a line like this: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/99550-strange-light-reflexes-35-mm-summicron-2.html#post1055958 ? If the answer is yes, you need to send the camera to Solms to get it fixed. Regards, ArtZ .
