ulrikft Posted September 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some random snaps from today. I like the handling, the dynamic range seems very good, the resolution is amazing. These shots are PPd as I usually PP my images. Some curves etc. Nothing special, just testing the water

M Swartz Posted September 26, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 26, 2009 i just got a lens hood for my 50 2.5. it screws on and hits the stop just where it should, but the hood is not tight on the lens,so i used teflon tape to tighten it up. anyone else have this problem? jlancasterd Posted September 26, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 26, 2009 i just got a lens hood for my 50 2.5. it screws on and hits the stop just where it should, but the hood is not tight on the lens,so i used teflon tape to tighten it up. anyone else have this problem? I had exactly the same problem with this hood on a 35mm Summarit - I 'solved' it by putting a small amount of Blu-Tack on the mounting threads. A spot of 'Lock Tight' would probably be even more effective - but possibly a little too permanent. Incidentally, I'm getting the impression that metering on the M9 is more accurate if one uses a good lens hood on wide angle lenses such as the 35mm Summarit - presumably it prevents the sky from over-influencing the meter. bertus Posted September 28, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 28, 2009 i just got a lens hood for my 50 2.5. it screws on and hits the stop just where it should, but the hood is not tight on the lens,so i used teflon tape to tighten it up. anyone else have this problem? Good evening, I bought a Summarit 50 2.5 about two weeks ago and the lens hood. I had the same problem. With the hood this lens is a beauty. However I did return the hood. Yes you can use teflon tape but I prefer to use that on a plastic toy lens which costs about $ 14,99. I don't want to use it on a lens which costs over $ 1000,00. To say the least, I was deeply dissapointed. Now I am looking for an alternative. Kind greetings, bertus
reven Posted September 28, 2009 Share #9 Posted September 28, 2009 Well i never have problems with my hood being to soft. Works like it should. Great small lens. I think there is nothing better out there especially if you want something small.
