I think is going to be hard. Any news? Has Leica stopped shipping the M8, waiting for solving problems? Has anybody got the M8 in the last few days? Thanks. I think this a wise move on their part perhaps it also bodes for a hardware fix I am a bit surprised that Leica did not note the significant problems with the M8 prior to its release, but I suspect pressures to get one out for Photokina played a role from what I have seen, they may come up with a simple addition of a presensor IR filter that would be a user option ...it could be added or not used as the photographer finds necessary a company that came up with viewfinder goggles can certainly work this out Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have been my dealer's top-of-the-list for nearly 3 weeks now, been talked to him last week, the shipping was told to be delayed for another 1 week or 2, but still "could be first week of December". marknorton Posted November 21, 2006 Share #9 Posted November 21, 2006 I feel certain they will have stopped shipping and probably stopped building complete cameras even if they are still doing some work on sub-assemblies. Ball park, they were making 50 a day, call it $3000 each out the door, so that's $150k revenue a day they are deferring and in the meantime they have staff and bills to pay.
