rick123 Posted November 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) At the risk of being premature by some 37 hours, I wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Although it is a holiday we celebrate in the States, the spirit of counting ones blessings can be related to all - especially those of us so privileged to able to appreciate the beauty of photography and fortunate to own Leica equipment! Advertisement Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Hi rick123, Take a look here Happy Thanksgiving! . I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
grober Posted November 21, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2006 Rick, Thanks for taking the initiative. This holiday is always my favorite. We're spending the day with close friends and relish each minute in their company. (We're contributing my esteemed wife's famous pecan pie and a good bottle of wine.) Don't forget to practice your art and post any notable stuff on the day after... -g
markjames Posted November 21, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 21, 2006 I second Rick's Thanksgiving well wishing to the forum members and think it's a great breather from all the M8 paranoia. He's right -- we are all fortunate to be able to enjoy our various Leica goodies and more important to have the time and good fortune to make images. The forum once again (as when I was considering the purchase of my current Digilux 2 which I use almost daily) has become a daily 'habit' and I'm thankful to all the die hard members for their tireless energy and generousity of spirit - helping us all in some way. The insights in the M8 and it's issues have been really helpful as my check is ready once I see Leica's plans in dealing with the shortcomings. I take over the kitchen on Thanksgiving (my one time a year), giving my wife a break so I'll be saving any image making until all the fat, butter, turkey innards, etc. is washed completely from my hands! Best to all this holiday, Mark <Be fun to be able to have a one time only Leica forum gathering somewhere - maybe out west (USA) where we could meet up share a beer and grill a few steaks. Sort of like Burning Man for Leica junkies...>

fotografr Posted November 21, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 21, 2006 I take over the kitchen on Thanksgiving (my one time a year), giving my wife a break... Geez, man--you mean to say you don't even do the grilling? Shameful. Thanksgiving is great! No religion, just unabashed, shameless gluttony.
