I posted this jpeg image in another thread and someone else stated that they too had a file like this.

Has anyone else had files like this?

WTF! Please explain the circumstances under which these showed up.

With mine, to provoke this, I... pushed the button. I was taking several similar ones, trying to provoke the magenta cast issue, and this happened. Just once in all my pictures. Here is the negative version of this negative version, showing that I was successful in provoking the magenta cast. The sweater is pitch-black...

Is this a serious post or a wind up? If it is fairdinkum, hasn't the image got a second frame exposed over the first? The arm and sleeve, jeans and belt buckle is pretty obvious on right, and it carries clear across the frame.

If it is a joke I reckon some of you blokes ought to get married.

In Solms the heart attack rate must have dramaticaly risen lately.

C'm on this can't be real.

I'm working on a documentary covering the Dutch elections at the moment, using my MP and a Nikon DSLR, the Leica beats the Nikon on every aspect exept the postprocessing.

So much I hoped to have the solution in my hands with the M8, and now I feel so disappointed seeing these images. Purchase doesn't seems to be an option.

Sometimes I wonder whether it's not all just a bad dream.

Waking up one morning and finding out it all wasn't true will most probably not happen.

Oh dear, what misery

Great abstractions!

Yes! This is actually a feature of the M8!

It's designed for those of us who miss our negs. Though you can't file this one away, at least it's already pre-scanned in digital form ready for color correction :)

U know, like how the IR sensitive CCD of the M8 has actually become a pre-designed feature, and the mandatory use of IR blocking filters, or the very idea of it, has somehow been assimilated, accepted and even recommended by everyone.

David, I think it's called 'pragmatism'. Working pro's are mostly used to 'P' and working despite the difficulties. It's called, " if I don't get a (some) result, depite the problems, I won't get paid. Of course, there are limits, which each defines for ones self.

Cheers,

Erl

 definetely the best camera ever. for the price of one camera you get a digital camera + an IR camera + an artistic random neg feature for century 22st exhib in NYC. Who can complain about this?. (sorry for my sense of humour)
