PhilG Posted September 16, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just to be sure. I can't see any activity in the Viewfinder such as when I zoom in etc. Is this correct? I am using the Viewfinder as a point and click aid, albeit it is great for framing the subject. I do all cropping and size adjustment on my PC. Am I missing something such as changing a setting on the camera. Hope this makes sense?

viramati Posted September 16, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 16, 2009 external viewfinder I presume. 24mm only

integrale Posted September 16, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 16, 2009 The external viewfinder is passive; I'm afraid none of the camera settings will be reflected in the viewfinder (zoom, WB, aperture etc).
carlosecpf Posted September 16, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 16, 2009 The external viewfinder won't reflect any camera settings nor zoom. Nevertheless I prefer framing a shot through the viewfinder much better than the back screen.
jankap Posted September 17, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 17, 2009 Please ask your dealer to demonstrate the Hoodman lens. With this lens you can use the lcd-screen as a viewfinder. You have all parameters under controll, also after zooming in. Jan
