Luigi leather half case

Given the expense of the S2, I am seriously considering asking Luigi to design a leather half case. I have used them before on my R8s as well as my DMRs and they really protect the camera from not only the elements but from scratches and dings.. Thinking about the resale issue...

Is anyone else interested?:confused::confused:

Only a hobby photographer could come up with such a question. It's a professional tool for crying out loud. Maybe you should use your S2 only in the confines of a padded cell. Guess, that would be the best protection. For everybody ;)

I think you should wrap your s2 in whatever you want.. but after handling the s2 I think a half leather case would screw up the ergonomics of the body..too beefy.

I concede that the half-case could make the camera a bit more bulky but on the other hand, the leather would serve to cushion it from blows, scratches & dirt. Luigi's cases have worked marverloulsy in the past for me as my Ms and Rs have been all over the place and have remained unscathed. I am not one of those who venerates Leica as jewelry, yet why scratch or damage such marvelous feats of engineeering !!! :)

Perhaps because they're tools and tools have to be "worked"... ;)
