Just had the M9 for a few hours, have not done any serious pixel peeping, just enjoying so far, especially that a wide angle is a wide angle - 3 pictures from the new Opera house in Oslo with the 21 lux:

Lovely. What are you using as a viewfinder? Do you have the lovely looking Leica Brightline unit?

Would you be willing to share a dng fresh from the camera (not exported from Lightroom) with others on the forum? My preference for pixel peeping would be #1, since it has detail in all corners.

I must admit that I did not use an external viewfinder for these, although I have a Voigt 21.

I would absolutely be willing to share, but before you go into a deep analysis you should know that it is a snapshot at 1/125 ISO 160, I don't remember the f stop, but it was quite open. I think the lower right corner is within focus, but I am not sure about the upper left.

It is an uncompressed DNG 36 MB, and my Zenfolio account will not accept it due to size. How can I share it?

OK, try these:

The first 3 are variants over the first picture in my post, the last one is the wooden structure. As I said I am not sure the upper left corner in the first 3 is within focus, but the lower right sure is. Looks fairly good to my eyes.

I would be able to do a more controlled test one of the coming days.

I ran off 100% quality jpegs of your files, and excerpted a piece of your first picture posted at the top and a piece of the other scene that you put on Yousendit. These are tiny clips well outside the M8's image circle. (the forum uploading software seems to have cut their size in half on uploading.) From the lighting inside the hall, I would guess that you were at f/5.6 in all of these. Did you use aperture priority? There's certainly nothing to complain about.
