ho_co Posted September 11, 2009 Share #21 Posted September 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thorsten, it's a Solms messup. If the serial number on the camera matches the serial number on the box, the camera was shipped from Solms in the wrong box. As Mark said, it happens. Solms and your dealer can straighten it out. It would take no more than a phone call. As for discrepancies regarding which is shipping, if Solms says both are equally available, it may have to do with what the dealer/distributor ordered. If he didn't think grey would sell, he'd have ordered more of the black. So now he's right to say, "They're not shipping grey yet." He's just not finishing the sentence: "They're not shipping grey yet to me, because I haven't ordered grey yet."

Howard the box said black on both the grey outside over carton and the inner silver kit box. It's just the OP ordered grey from the dealers website, the dealer saying grey was in stock, and when it arrived it was black. I say keep the black as it has a better covering then the grey. The grey M9 uses the same bad/slippery covering used on the original M8.
