M8 and M9 with ACR/LR and C1

Don't suppose anyone will know the answer to these questions.

There's little doubt that C1 delivers better images for the M8 in comparison with anything else. With the move to LR for the M9, I wonder what shooters using the M8 and M9 together will do.

  • Will LR/ARC be as good with the M9 as C1 is with the M8?
  • If it is, will it be tweaked for the M8 also or will we have to revert to C1 meaning two workflows?

Personally I don't like the way C1 handles and I prefer Aperture (I've never used LR) to Bridge and ACR. However C1 produces (for me) less noise and more fine detail than anything else with the M8. Just wish I didn't have all those big TIFFs hanging around that I didn't need with Aperture or ACR.

Gues we will have to wait until Adobe releases M9 profiles before we can answer that one.

I've done some tests with my new M9 yesterday and processed the files in Aperture and C1 . I am not a Adobe LR user so I cant talk about the quality you would get with this application , but I have to say Aperture was very disappointing and I ended up using C1 which gave me a great colour and sharpness and overall quality . I will use Capture one for my processing and Aperture for cataloging my files .
