ho_co Posted September 15, 2009 Share #42 Posted September 15, 2009 I've been saying this for a while and so far the vast majority of opinion on this forum (or rather the M8 section) has been very insistent that those differences will never be apparent. I've read that differently. I think people here agree with you that no matter what Leica claims (and I think only they have said there's no practical difference), extensive or repeated file adjustments will show a problem. A number of people point to the Nikon comparison, where the difference is measurable but not immediately visible. (Someone doubtless has the link--it was often posted here; but I don't have it at the moment. I think we're all pleased with the M9's compression on / compression off choice.
