Advertisement Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi nugat, Take a look here Sean Reid! Wake up and publish the M9 review!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
luigi bertolotti Posted September 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 10, 2009 Don't hurry him... he works better when he takes all the time it needs... at the moment he could make simply a "hands on preview" not dissimilar from DPR in terms of concrete content; his reports are interesting for they go beyond first impressions/first shots/analisys of item & specs. nugat Posted September 10, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted September 10, 2009 Sean promised the full review on the 10th! It's written on his site. I know, he'll want to have the final look when he gets up...

sean_reid Posted September 10, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks. M9 review is already pretty thorough and will be even more so when the ISO noise comparisons section is published later today. Should have an S2 for testing later this month and X1 soon as well (I believe). Also check out Luminous Landscape and David Farkas' blog for more good M9 info. Also Jono Slack's reports. The Luminous Landscape David Farkas Photography Blog http://Www.slack.co.uk We all go live at 8. Cheers, S

The money we spend on this stuff is real and I do think reviewers owe it to readers to be as thorough as they can be. That said, no one person will ever be able to discover everything about a new camera no matter how complete they try to be. There's nothing like 1000 people trying something with 1000 subjects under 1000 kinds of lighting to get a big view. Cheers, Sean

Cheers, Sean All of my M8 decisions have been influenced by your reviews including the 24mm Lux and several ZM lenses. So far they have not disappointed and performance was very much as described. So absolutely take your time! Thanks in advance for the amazing speed with which you are going to make this report available! Get some well earned sleep now! Now I go to get breakfast because I haven't eaten for a long time. Then I finish the ISO noise section then maybe a nap before working on the S2 article. Thank goodness my clients have been flexible this week. See you later all. S
fingerprinz Posted September 10, 2009 Share #13 Posted September 10, 2009 Best review of the M9 I've red so far. Lots of interesting background information. Can't wait to read the second part. PS: Sean, despite the missing quantity, I will renew my subscription, because of the quality of your reviews. ;-)

sean_reid Posted September 10, 2009 Share #16 Posted September 10, 2009 Working on a few questions from M9 engineers now. File quality section may make it up today or may be up tomorrow. Either way, I imagine the world will still be spinning. <G> Cheers, Sean
wparsonsgisnet Posted September 10, 2009 Share #17 Posted September 10, 2009 I love it: A year or so ago, there was a SWARM of complaints every time ReidReviews came up because the poster thought it was outrageous to pay for information. Now, it's, "Where's the damn review>!!!" Way to to Sean! Regards to all,
pklein Posted September 10, 2009 Share #18 Posted September 10, 2009 Sean: Kudos! As always, you get to the heart of the matter. Thanks for being our eyes and ears. Looking forward to the detailed pictures and ISO comparisons. It will be really interesting to see how it stacks up vs. the M8 and your full-frame DSLRs, particulary in fine detail and high ISO. If anyone is wondering whether a subscription to Sean's site is worth your while, the answer is a resounding "Yes!" Sean is a fellow RF photographer and a working pro. So what he says often applies directly. You won't get an easy "9.5" or "Highly Recommended (Just)" from him, but you will get the details that really matter, discussed intelligently.
