Some colour differences between these, CS3/RAW pretty close. For some reason CS3 conversion sees file as smaller, 3271x4915 pixels vs. 3468x5212 with others. (C1 profile used, showing automatically = DNG file neutral. Colours ghastly if you change ICC to Leica M8 generic: maybe what other poster meant by 'not recognised'.) You know, there's some noise at 1600, but it's not objectionable at all, IMO. All that resolution sure is nice.They convert to monochrome really well, too. I'd sure love to see a monochrome version of this sensor. I'll bet it would pull an extra stop out of the camera. Probably with a little more sharpness, as well. Still, this is very nice. I've been suggesting it because it's true: not all DNGs open with C1 Pro (none of the ones I tried earlier today) Only some do--and these ones open into a horrible hell of bad colour IMO. They're not even recognised as M9 files! So nothing like what I'd expect from C1. So I'll wait till C1 releases an "M9 compatible" update. patrick parker Posted September 10, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted September 10, 2009 following info sounds useful Lightroom handles M9 files the same as M8 files. After you import a folder of M9 dng files into Lightroom, view the images in the folder in the Library grid mode (select the folder and hit the G on your keyboard), select all the files (ctrl A), and then go to the metadata menu and select "Update DNG Previews & Metadata" and Lighrtoom will do a lossless compression to the selected files. You'll see a progress bar in the upper left hand part of the window that says "Updating DNG Previews" and your files will be around 50%-70% of their original size. Jamie you're right - but try opening them by using LR>Show in finder then click once on a file, right click > copy it, paste it to desktop and then Import from C1 by pointing to the desktop folder and selecting the file.
