It's like a crayon that Leica rubs onto the surface, filling the indented areas; then they rub off the excess with a soft cloth. I would guess that an artists' supply store could point you in the right direction. Or ask Leica's customer service desk, or someone who does lens repair. sfokevin Posted November 14, 2009 Share #23 Posted November 14, 2009 I trick I saw used for a scratched screen is to get a screen protector then clean the lcd cover completely including where the scratch is... Then take a toothpick and dab a bit of petroleum jelly into the scratch (just a dab - enough to fill the scratch cavern - too much jelly and the screen protector will slide around) then install the screen protector over it. Guest tvleeskr Posted November 14, 2009 Share #24 Posted November 14, 2009 Last year, the glue of a cheap Chinese plastic screen protector managed to dissolve most of the coating of the LCD screen of my M8. I removed the remains of the coating with Brasso and put a plastic protector on. It makes no difference to me at all, since I don't use the LCD for reviewing anyway. I may however try a glass protection screen. In any case, with this damage the value of the camera has probably dropped so much, that am not even tempted to think about selling my Grächen She is so much better than my Canons :D Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
