Advertisement Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Hi ThierryF, Take a look here Who would like an interchangeable-lense X2?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Vip Posted September 24, 2014 Share #202 Posted September 24, 2014 If you re read this posts 5 year later you can see how I was predicting exactly the T, while most was thinking that that was a terrible idea, impossible, cannibalizing M, Lens too big, or the cost much more than M. This happen frequently when someone thinks that Leica can make innovation. I remember the same, when someone was asking, at the presentation of SL2, an automatic camera . that was seen as eresia.Later came the R3 that life. colonel Posted October 3, 2014 Share #203 Posted October 3, 2014 I would love an interchangeable camera based on the X-Vario/113 body. Perhaps Leica will make one with a T-mount to tempt us next year ...

Loplop Posted October 4, 2014 Share #205 Posted October 4, 2014 As far as I know they won’t. That's really a shame. I'd buy one!
Torquinian Posted October 9, 2014 Share #206 Posted October 9, 2014 The X1 seems like a very fine "compact" camera, the design is gorgeous and it will likely deliver image quality. However, IMHO, the same camera with interchangeable lenses, (hopefully mostly primes ) would be even more attractive because of the versatility and also greater M back-up capability. Leica were immensely busy with the S2 and M9, so probably they just couldn't yet pull off a small "X System". So maybe this is just the first step. Just 3-4 lenses with key focal lengths could be enough, say 24, 35, 50 and 90? Your favourites? I would buy such a camera in a blink, but the presumed price of ca. 2000 Euro (right?) is too much for me for a fixed 35mm camera. On the other hand interchangeable lenses let muck in , so you have to get your sensor cleaned. I like my X2 the way it is.
wda Posted October 9, 2014 Share #207 Posted October 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) It would not be an X * if it was not fixed lens. Even the latest version has sacrificed some of the desirable compactness of the original X1 which I still use daily.
