To bad that so many details of the M9 leaked prior to the presentation

I think Leica came up a great idea to present the M9 on 9/9/09 and have it shipped immidiately. They also did an incredible job, together with Kodak, to develop a FF M camera despite the technical difficulties. I also think it was a great idea by them to briefly show the M9 in the video anouncing the presentation

 

I therefore felt a bit sorry for the people who came up with this marketing idea that so many details of the M9 leaked, in particular, the microsite and the broshure.

 

Anyway, I am sure the camera will be a big success, and I must confess that the grey model with a brown leather strap that Seal was wearing looked really cool.

 

BTW, I would have taken a red eye to NYC for an S2 (in particular if Leica paid for the 1st class ticket )

I think he said the camera across his shoulder was film M not an M9.

 

The poor guy really wanted a free M9 but kept making bad jokes about the S2 and ended up getting that instead. LOL

I agree. I hate leaked specs. It made the presentation seem like old news, lol. But was finally a relief to know the leaked rumors were true.

 

I think Seal did a fantastic job. Looked like what he said was from the heart and not from a script. A great person to represent the company. Class act.

The poor guy already has had a M9 for three months or so... the S2 is just an add-on.

 

Why do always those people get freebies that really don't need it?
