stuny Posted November 20, 2006 Share #3 Posted November 20, 2006 Jan - Ah -- the crowned crane, native so sub-equatorial Africa. I assume this is in a zoo. Very nice detail and composition. The background, though confuses me a bit. Is the pnoto tilted to the left? Is the background actually trhough glass to an adjacent exhibit?
leicanut2 Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted November 21, 2006 Stuart, The picture was shot at the outdoor Hippo exhibit. I was around 20 feet away and 15 feet above the bird. What you are seeing is all the fall leaves that are at the edge of the man made pond. I really like the amout of 'bokeh' I got on the picture it really makes the bird stand out. Cheers and thanks for lookjing it really is a fun camera to use. My friend Sue took the picture of me trying out all the buttons. She took it with a V-Lux also. The film thing was a joke.
