erlingmm Posted September 7, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) On his site Sean Reid says: "An article about a very interesting new camera will appear here on September 9 followed by an extensive review of an exciting new camera on September 10 and a "First Impressions" review of yet another new camera also on September 10. Check back then for some interesting reading." M9 and X1 are more or less confirmed. If this 3rd camera is a Leica, or a camera that Leica contributes to, what is it? Panasonic? Apple (who also has a news conference on the 9th)?
Advertisement Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Hi erlingmm, Take a look here The third camera.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
scott kirkpatrick Posted September 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2009 Did that just appear? I check his site from time to time, but I start at the flash page and just look to see if there are new articles, so I missed it. He has been awfully quiet for the past week or so, but I expect that if he has had a week or more to work with an M9 that we will learn things about image quality, handling and vignetting control that you won't see elsewhere on Sept 9 or 10. scott
michali Posted September 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2009 Only speculating; as has become standard practice here the past few weeks.................... could it be that the 3rd camera is something along the lines of the Panasonic GF1 with adaptor/s for both M & R lenses? glent Posted September 7, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 7, 2009 Probably the M9, X1 and S2.
holgerf Posted September 7, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 7, 2009 Probably the M9, X1 and S2. Exactly. Holger
patrick parker Posted September 7, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 7, 2009 Since X is the roman numeral for 10 , my guess is X1 is will be announced on the tenth. S2 and M9 on the 9th. and the two zero's between 2 and 9 will be representing our eyes when we see the price tag.
steich Posted September 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) well.... Sean Reid has been silent for a while, probably testing the M9 (and X1). Mark Norton is rather (not completely) silent for even longer time..... Guess we'll see a lot of interesting reviews and insights later this week Regards Stefan
