M9 Forum?

At least, my latest copy of Capture One is prepared to recognize it and launch its "M9 Generic" profile. Our forum's two best software detectives (SMcG and CB) have looked this tiny M9 fingerprint over carefully, and tell me that the color mappings are identical to the tables that are in the M8 generic profile. Maybe Leica is learning from the successful "tease" strategies that Olympus and others have employed in recent announcements. Or maybe the M9 needs more time in utero to mature fully.

Following Jono Slack's compelling argument that announcing there will be an M9 says "stop buying M8.x's," which I am sure Leica understands well, I would expect any announcement on 09/09/09 to be rather guarded and Delphic.

Well, that's in interesting question - there are an awful lot of forums around for things that don't exist - everything from leprechauns to deities (even if neither of them are cameras).

At least there is a chance that the M9 will exist

are you inferring that deities don't exist?

Gordon Bennett Scott you have a good memory - I think I must have said that on the getDPI forums back in erm. . . May? I'm sure I didn't put it quite that eloquently either.

Well, even IF the forum's name gets changed, there's still the same amount of M9 and M8 posts to be found under its roof.

I ask myself, why worry then?

It would make sense once we know if/what/how many new gadgets come out or don't - but until then, why not just leave it like it is and don't bother?
