stuny Posted November 17, 2006 Share #2 Posted November 17, 2006 Steve - If you've seen my photo posts or my site you can tell that I generally prefer color to B&W (though for many years I did just B&W and processed everything myself). However, frequently Forum members post exceptionally fine B&W photos. Which is the long way of saying that I much prefer your B&W "eyes" photo, and for several reasons. In your B&W photo color does not distract from the eyes, which are clearly your main subject. The contrast is greater in that photo, too, further emphasizing the eyes. The pose seems better in the B&W. And finally, your subject is more attractive to me in the B&W. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I agree with Stuart that the B&W is the one I'd want to put in my portfolio; but there's nothing at all wrong with the color one, either. Thanks for sharing these wonderful portraits.
