Any info on the anthracite would be welcome - assuming that there will be an M9, I'm tending to think in this direction (yes, I'll get one... ) Is it a paint finish or an anodisation... REALLY don't understand why Leica stopped doing the black chrome - I've always preferred it (had it on M6s / 7 / original M8. OK - it polishes over time, but it doesn't chip off! My black chrome M8 and M6 bodies are quite worn too, down to a dull grey. My MP bodies are worn in some areas to brass, and I prefer the look of the latter. Having said that, I don't really care all that much. But, if I had a choice for the same price, I'd prefer the black paint. Part of my preference might also come from an unfair bias. My MP cameras feel so much more solid and well-made than my M6 or M8 bodies. I realize that this probably has more to do with them being MPs than with the finish. But my experience with the various cameras has left me preferring the paint. But again, if the camera works, the color doesn't really matter. Unless it's white. I definitely don't want a white one...
