The baby is a client's new baby taken during a family portrait session. My new baby is the M8. I do have a new grand daughter however : -) I was about to say you've been spending way too much time on here for someone with a new baby! Very nice shot. leicamann Posted November 18, 2006 Share #24 Posted November 18, 2006 Lovely image..and yeah what no magenta cast? what happened??? I also agree the skin tones are how you judge the color pallette , be it film or digital, I think this clearly shows Leica passed the test. Congratulations on the new child in the family, good occasion to get that M8 to work!! Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann
kdemas Posted November 19, 2006 Share #25 Posted November 19, 2006 Marc, I've had the plesure of seeing your work with different equipment on several forums and, as usual, this is a beautiful shot. You work with people never ceases to amaze me. Congratulations on the new additions, both the baby and the M8 are wonderful Kent
brunom Posted November 19, 2006 Share #26 Posted November 19, 2006 Marc I'm really sure the parents are must be very pleased with this photo ! As a personal opinion, I feel that if if was cropped horizontally halfway up/down [?] the mother's forehead, it becomes much more focussed on the baby, whereas, for me, too much attention is taken by the mass of the mother's hair on the side of her face facing us, as is. Definitely shows the potential of the M8. As an aside, I recall [ from Photo.Net ] that you used to use a first version 50mm Summilux, and I wonder if you have compared that with the Asph version lens, on the M8 ?
