Advertisement Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Hi sabears, Take a look here Leica elmak 50mm f3.5 5 element?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Maarten Posted August 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 10, 2009 There was an Elmax lens, the second one of which some 1000 were produced in 1925-1926. They were certainly not numbered (let alone with a six digits). The Elmax was from the days that interchangeble Leica lenses were not designed yet. The lens mentioned is a pre-war Elmar, nickel with a flat infinity stopper screw. In those days polyethelene lenscaps were not a commodity (polyethelene was developed by ICI in WWII). Summilux.net doesn't recognise the lens number. I cannot judge if the lens is in an original state. I would stay away.
