Odyssey1812 Posted August 10, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 10, 2009 I'd be careful about downloading and installing the OSX 10.5.8 update. Many have reported poor or no wifi signal when running on batteries after the update: Apple - Support - Discussions - 10.5.8 slow Airport when on battery ... The poster Kuro-to on page 5 of that discussion talks of a temporary solution: Apple - Support - Discussions - 10.5.8 slow Airport when on battery ... Another poster has an unofficial solution from an Apple technician if you've backed up using time machine: Apple - Support - Discussions - Temporary fix as per Apple Product ... So if you update to 10.5.8, and this happens, the temporary solution until Apple releases an update is as above. I think I'll wait until they've resolved this issue. Good luck, Wing.
