I find the idea of judging the image on the camera LCD a bit funny. It will always be too small and the external light will always make a mess of the white balance and gamma, so it it rather senseless. It is useful for judging sharpness at max enlargement, and to see if you got the composition, and we have the histogram. For that just about any size LCD screen is fine.

Apart from giving a guestimate of the framing & histogram + zooming in to check focus, the main purpose of the LCD is to adjust stuff in the menu(s). But all of that is occasional, not for each shot you take.

Quite a few M8 users have the auto-preview switched off altogether, saves battery life as well.

A better LCD screen is unnecessary.

And I am one of them. I also carry my M8 in a half or full case by Luigi Crescenzi, so I must first unbutton the rear flap, which cures a lot of unnecessary chimping itch.

A better LCD screen is unnecessary.

Unless of course the M9 has live view. But I think it won't.

I do`nt care about LCD res or size. I prefer If I can remove LCD or custom size LCD. My only use of lcd is if camera had actually capture the image or not.

i wish all the new item such as battery pack will be compatible with M8.

But yes If it is full size I would like to buy it if my financial state allow me. Otherwise M8 is super camera and sharper than any other camera at iso 160!
