Advertisement Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Hi Pieman64, Take a look here Digilux 2 Serial Number. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pleeson Posted August 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2009 There's a sticker on the original box. I don't see a serial # in the EXIF data in iPhoto.
pitti Posted August 4, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 4, 2009 The exif shows a unique internal seriel number with the date of manufacture. But this number is not the same as on the body.

Mmmm, I can't find a serial number in EXIF as shown in Lightroom. Neither is the firmware number quoted anywhere unless it is hidden in data not revealed in LR. Overgaard Posted August 4, 2009 Share #5 Posted August 4, 2009 One of mine is worn off and the other barely readable. But I was so smart that I used the Leica Owners Area to register all my serial numbers so that I have them in case the house burns down. Already helped me when my 35/2 disappeared a year ago. I never write stuff like that up anywhere so I'm glad Leica provided that sercvice: https://owners.leica-camera.com/en/login

You could try PhotoMe, it works fine for me and shows this numbers: PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor Another easy way to get manufactur numbers is to upload a sample here: Seriennummer aus Bild auslesen It works for the Digilux3 too.
