Hi Pete, the village's name is Millau, located on the river Tarn. I was intrigued by the scenery that shows three generations of bridges, the medieval one in the foreground (that eventually was destroyed and later served as a base for houses), the 19th century road bridge behind (which had to bear the complete southbound traffic of the region for decades), and the magnificent new highway bridge in the background. Personally, I also like # 3 a lot, but maybe not as a standalone pic, more as a part of a series showing the new bridge. Otherwise, the huge structure would lose its dominating character. I like especially #3 for the harmonic contrast of the beauties of modern high tec to old architecture, all embedded in a great landscape. The colors and light in both are spot-on, the dramatic angle in #2 dominates well, as it should, and the time-warp combination in #3 is wonderful.
