Advertisement Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Hi jankap, Take a look here First time buyer (D-Lux 4)... What to get?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gtravis Posted August 4, 2009 Share #22 Posted August 4, 2009 iPhoto on your Mac will work just fine with DL-4 in-camera JPEGs. That's what I use 97% of the time. You don't need Photoshop/etc. Here is my DL-4 "kit": DL-4 Lensmate 42mm lens/filter adaptor Extra battery (cheap chinese one that I got for $7 on Amazon. Works great) Hoya Neutral/UV filter and cheap Hoya Polarizing filter Zagg LCD protector (kills the LCD image quality but does a good job protecting it) Leica brown leather case (won't work with Lensmate filter adaptor on the camera) Leica tabletop tripod and Giotto ballhead Leica micro-fiber cleaning cloths PNY 16GB memory card (overkill on size) Of those, the extra battery, LCD protector, and (of course) memory card are the only "must haves" in my opinion. I love my DL-4 and as soon as they get over the same-gender marriage thing here in the states, I'm going to push for man/camera marriage.
