poynterama Posted July 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just came across a seller offering quite a lot of Leica gear, including a M6 outfit, M7 and gold R3 and R4. He does have 100% positive feedback, but requests that any buyers email him before bidding and has offered all items for quick sale. It smells fishy to me- does anyone have experience buying from the seller? Here is the M6 outfit: Leica M6 TTL .85 outfit w3 lenses, filters, and flash - eBay, Lenses, Lenses Filters, Cameras Photo. rob_x2004 Posted July 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2009 Seven pages of volvo and toyota small parts sold in Europe with ten thousand small sales and really happy customers and all of a sudden he is offering an M6 located in Minneapolis, United States? I'd do him the courtesy of contacting him through eBay and asking him if he knows he is selling it. Still, stranger things .... You never know your luck. They got onto that quick. I guess the guy in "Minesota" romania gets to start again. Shame I was just about to email him for fun to see what country he wanted the money sent:D

NZDavid Posted July 29, 2009 Share #11 Posted July 29, 2009 Scam on Ebay? Horrors, surely not! One reason I'd treat them with utmost caution. At least with a dealer you have some come back.
