AndyMc Posted April 2, 2013 Share #21 Posted April 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all Ok so im new to Leica very familiar with pocket wizard and flash photography. It would seem that there's a sync issue between camera and the triggers. On camera flash works fine. The minute I introduce pw's the flash pops but doesn't illuminate the scene. This isnt an exposure issue so thought it could be somethingnto do with the trigger has a delay and therefore late or I guess early? Anyone had similar challenges with testing Thanks in advance

AndyMc Posted April 4, 2013 Share #22 Posted April 4, 2013 Just bumping this as I'd really like to know if anyone has experienced a sync problem? Thanks in advance A Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Erik Gunst Lund Posted April 7, 2013 Share #23 Posted April 7, 2013 Are you at 1/180 or slower?
AndyMc Posted April 7, 2013 Share #24 Posted April 7, 2013 Think I tested at 1/250 as this was the flash sync on the m8 Tested at this to try and cut out as much ambient as possible to see the flash... On camera works fine... It's the pw element that made me think synchronisation? Andy Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
AndyMc Posted April 7, 2013 Share #25 Posted April 7, 2013 Ok tested again including the flash head in the shot metered at f8 and didn't see the strobe illuminated in the frame. Which says to me that the shot is before or after the capture? Ay ideas, if anyone is using tt1 and tt5 other than basic trigger configuration did you need to tweak anything else? AndyMc Posted April 7, 2013 Share #26 Posted April 7, 2013 Hi Paul Thanks for taking the time to test and confirm I'm not going crazy. However I have seen an M8 loaded with. Tt1 on this forum... I'll find the thread and post a link. I think I've messages the OJ to get some insight, but heard nothing back yet. Give me a few minutes A Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
AndyMc Posted April 7, 2013 Share #27 Posted April 7, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Here you go... So I'm thinking that a few tweaks on the delay/ sync and we'll be set in basic trigger mode. As I still have canon Dslr I don't want to dump these. AndyMc Posted April 8, 2013 Share #28 Posted April 8, 2013 ok, seems i've solved it. i downloaded the lasted utility already had the latest firmware. i went through and made sure i had ttl unticked and basic trigger ticked. also when through the misc menu on tt5 and made sure all the settings were consistent. tested it and it now works... perhaps i'd left some conflicts in there. @ Paul, you can get these working, so have another go.. if you're still having problems, happy to take screen shots and post.
