wijayane Posted July 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted July 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an M6TTL with finder of 0.85. If I would like to change the finder to be a 0.72, would that be possible to do so? Do people do this at all? Or would rather leave it at its original state ? Any views on this Thanks in advance. Hi Wijayane Yes it's possible but you must give your camera to your Leica agent* at Bangkok (if he does it) or send it at Solms (Germany) Regards Henry * http://en.leica-camera.com/service/ Address: Camera & Lens Co. andybarton Posted July 18, 2009 Share #3 Posted July 18, 2009 It is possible, but given that 0.85s are unusual, you may be better to sell the 0.85 and buy another 0.

peter_n Posted July 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted July 19, 2009 Yep, if you want a 0.72x better to buy one and sell the 0.85x.
wijayane Posted July 19, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted July 19, 2009 Thank you guys for all the views on this matter ^__^ I guess I'll better off stay with it for now since it's in a tip-top 99.99% condition. After all, using a 35 on the 0.85 doesn't hurt ^___^ Thanks again.
bill Posted July 19, 2009 Share #7 Posted July 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Right decision, It's possible to make a Jaguar E-type 4x4, but that doesn't make it right, or sensible. Regards, Bill

alun Posted July 20, 2009 Share #10 Posted July 20, 2009 I can't find the relevant email right now but when I asked a similar question of Leica Milton Keynes I was told that while it was possible to swap a standard finder for the MP upgraded finder, it was prohibitively expensive to change a finder *size*. I think the estimate another poster gave of USD 1,000.00 is probably not far off the mark, although as I say I can't find the email that would confirm this -- a shame because I'm fairly sure Leica MK did give me a GBP estimate.
